Claremore welcomes new manufacturer, MST Manufacturing

February 5, 2019

Kenneth Statton was born with manufacturing in his blood and a passion for the industry. More than 30 years ago, Statton founded his first machine shop, The Statton Company, with his father in Claremore, Oklahoma. From there, Mr. Statton started and then proceeded to build one of the largest and most respected aerospace job shops in Tulsa and subsequently sold it through an M & A process. Today, Statton returned home and opened the door of his new manufacturing operation, MST Manufacturing. The announcement will bring an additional approximately 100 quality jobs to Claremore and over $5 million in capital investment over the next few years.

MST Manufacturing is an emerging leader in the CNC machining and fabrication business with a passion for precision and client satisfaction. Its expert team and state-of-the-art equipment allow the company to provide exceptional service to the aerospace, oil, petroleum, medical, automotive and other key power sectors that fuel Green Country’s economy.

“As a proud Claremore native, I am no stranger to the community’s thriving manufacturing sector, access to high-quality talent and pro-business atmosphere,” said Statton, President, and CEO of MST. “These factors, in addition to strong support from the city and county leadership, made Claremore the clear choice as home for our new facility.”

MST Manufacturing has closely partnered with the Claremore Industrial and Economic Development Authority (CIEDA) and the Oklahoma Department of Commerce (ODOC) to help meet the company’s workforce needs, and have qualified as a participant for the Oklahoma Quality Jobs program.

“Claremore history is rich with contributions for the manufacturing industry,” said Claremore Mayor Bill Flanagan. “The fact that companies such as MST continue to choose Claremore as home for their facilities is a true testament to our city’s willingness and commitment to help businesses achieve their greatest potential. We are excited to see our city’s businesses prosper and look forward to continuing to partner with MST to ensure their continued success.”

“Since 1948, the Claremore Industrial and Economic Development Authority has remained dedicated to aiding our regional employers and ensuring their prosperity,” said Dr. Keith Ballard, CIEDA chairman. “It has been a true honor for the CIEDA staff to partner with MST. We look forward to continuing to assist the organization in expanding its workforce and footprint in our community.”

MST founders and employees have a rich history within the aerospace industry. The company is proud to employ CNC machining professionals that make parts used on aircraft for aerospace leaders such as Spirit AeroSystems, Boeing, Gulfstream, Lockhead Martin, Triumph Aerostructures and many more.

MST is currently hiring a variety of positions, including CNC machinists, CNC machine operators, quality inspectors, debur and detail technicians, shipping and receiving personnel, reception and experienced program managers. Resumes can be submitted online at http://www.mstmfg.com/careers/.
