Claremore Regional Airport celebrates opening of new t-hangar facility
September 1, 2022
The Claremore Regional Airport, Claremore Industrial and Economic Development Authority and Claremore Area Chamber of Commerce joined together to celebrate the opening of a new 10-unit t-hangar building. The facility represents a total capital investment of nearly $800,000 and was the direct result of high regional demand and interest. All spaces within the unit were reserved with cash deposits within an hour of announcing the airport’s upcoming t-hanger availability.
Construction on the project began in late 2021 and is part of the airport’s strategic improvement plan.
“A primary goal for our team at the Claremore Regional Airport is to maintain high-quality facilities, competitive fuel prices, and top-tier infrastructure for both our tenants and guests,” said Eric Winn, Claremore Regional Airport Manager. “The completion of this t-hangar and upcoming improvement projects are part of the airport’s strategic plan to ensure we remain Northeast Oklahoma’s premier regional airport destination.”
The Claremore Regional Airport is a 94-unit facility, primarily composed of private hanger occupants. Two public-facing aviation companies operate from the airport include Jaeger Aircraft and ForwardVUE Aviation Services. In addition to these companies, the Claremore Industrial Park, located approximately 11 miles away, is home to a growing aviation sector. Aerospace manufacturers within the park include BlueArc Metal Specialties, Pryer Aerospace, and MST Manufacturing.
It is our hope that today’s celebration will serve as a catalyst for future development,” said Brian Green, CIEDA Chairman. “We are currently working on plans to continue expanding our offerings and provide a premier location for aviation enthusiasts across Northeast Oklahoma to safely and affordably house their aircraft.”
