CIEDA recently had the opportunity to host Northeast Tech Claremore's EAST program. Students in the program have the opportunity to learn about Computer Programming and Geographical Information System (GIS). These tours showed the students how those skill sets relate to real-world jobs.

The program visited Rye Design, a locally owned husband and wife business specializing in a full-service experience for manufacturing companies looking to install custom robotic arms. The students learned about the design process and how to program the robotic arms.

Students also visited the City of Claremore and heard from City Planner, Jill Ferenc, and Assistant Planner, Kyle Clifton. They shared upcoming city projects and how they have used GIS mapping in the planning process.
