A ribbon cutting ceremony was held tonight for the Holiday Inn Express & Suites and the Claremore Conference Center.
This is one of three hotels total that are opening up within a few months of each other in the city.
La Quinta Inns and Suites opened in late March, and a Hampton Inn will open in August.
City leaders said they needed more rooms for the large corporations that bring people into town, for Rogers State University, which hosts several teams and other events.
A 15,000 foot conference center is a first for the city as well.
This is all believed to help spur growth and bring in more tax dollars. City leaders said they had been losing out to surrounding areas.
Nearly 30,000 people visit Claremore to see museums and other attractions each year. Large companies and Rogers State University bring in visitors as well.
