Two new trustees have been appointed to the Claremore Industrial and Economic Development Authority (CIEDA). The appointment was carried out by Mayor Bill Flanagan and supported by city council at the July 6th meeting.
Wade Welborn, Vice President of Baker Hughes Artificial Lift, and Brian Green, President of Ira M. Green Construction, will each serve a term of four years.
Wellborn brings to CIEDA nearly 20 years of experience in international business operations spanning countries – Venezuela, Argentina, Colombia, Nigeria, and South Africa – before assuming his current role with Baker Hughes Artificial Lift Systems in Claremore.
Welborn earned a bachelor’s of science in engineering from Texas A&M University and a master’s in business administration from Robert Gordon University.
Green brings to CIEDA more than two decades of experience in commercial and industrial development. His company, Ira M. Green Construction, is located in CLaremore and is the civil contractor of choice in northeast Oklahoma within the earthmoving, underground, and project management sectors. Under his leadership, the company has grown to construct more than 100 residential developments, in addition to overseeing and constructing many commercial retail projects including Sam’s Club, Walmart Supercenters, and Academy, to name a few.
He has been the lead contractor on multi-family projects along with many industrial and municipal projects including rail spurs, commercial, and industrial building sites, streets, bridges, and underground work located in the Port of Catoosa, Tulsa Metro area, and many other areas in Northeast Oklahoma.
Green has also held seats on Catoosa Economic Development Authority, Rogers County Planning Commission, and Sequoyah Public Schools Board of Education.
